Today 48/365

This post is in response to Communal Global's call for "today".

The view through the sunroof of my car.

In my corner of the world I'm trying to appreciate autumn.  Today in Maine it is a splendid bright, clear, crisp day of brilliant blue skies and only the rare passing cloud to mask the sun making it much easier to appreciate the season.  I want to appreciate the leaves ON the trees before I'm grumbling about raking them from my lawn.

Quintessential New England.

Gorgeous colors and interesting shots. The leaves haven't started changing here yet. But, I really like your philosophy of appreciating them while on the tree before grumbling. I'll have to remember that one.

Isn't Autumn wonderfully bright! I love your shots, especially those dragon flies. I've always enjoyed raking leaves but not doing so multiple times, so I am going to wait until all the trees near my house have dropped their leaves. That makes for a big pile and as a child I would have loved jumping in them. As an adult, I just love the smell.

Love the dragonfly shot!! Though I'd probably be a bit too nervous to pull it off :) Love that the leaves are changing around your way. We haven't had much of that around my way yet :o/

Oh! I think Maine would be such a wonderful place to live in the fall! I am totally in love with your sunroof view! How pretty is that? Marvelous!

I don't think there's anywhere in the world that does fall better than New England. So beautiful - blue sky, crisp mornings, frost, lakes, beach, colour. You can say some not so nice things about new england winter (and summer), but fall. Maine was made for fall - I think anyway.
