Today 256/365

Linking with Communal Global for my today from right here in Maine.  Hope you are having a great today where ever you are.

The Back Way
{256/365} The Back Way

Something about this photo speaks.  It says don't forget life's side roads, keep moving forward, sun does break through the clouds, look towards the horizon.....and a bunch of other stuff.
Does it say anything to you?  Just wondering if I'm alone on this dusty stretch of highway or not.

love the photo - makes me want to walk to the end of the road to see what is there and to wait for the clouds to life to see what is there but also to hope for a storm to see how it changes the landscape

I like how the sun is reflecting off the clouds to the left - it makes for an interesting effect.

oh this is moody and introspective and gives a long view of life as you say. I like the hint of silver linings. gravel roads are becoming rare. In Illinois where I grew up most back/side roads used to be gravel. in spring time that was a real mess, but now most of them have been seal-coated. the romance is gone. your photo reminds me of those days now gone. and it says "still".

It has a dark moody feel to it. I like the way the clouds look too.

I don't know if you are alone or not, but this picture is relaxing. I love the sun between the clouds.

Love the moodiness of this shot, comtemplative.

This is my favorite kind of road. For my Mother's day gift, my son took me on the backroads to Madison and back...each curve of the road was different and I thought about the people who lived in the farm houses we passed...I didn't use my camera to often...just so enjoyable to sit and watch the world go by!

this is the kind of road where i want to have the radio on loud and sing aloud, letting out all my frustrations and just feeling so good afterwards

It also looks like the calm before a storm...but peaceful. Pretty scene!

And sunny rain-showers too; or maybe the rain has just stopped? Gives you a sense that it's going to be okay though with a bit of a silver lining to the clouds.
