Weekend Reflections

Linking with Sir James for this week's weekend reflections.  Thank you my reflection loving friend.  Hope your hiatus is allowing you to capture new reflections for all to enjoy.

I was better about getting me some reflections this week, I think because the community college was on break so no research papers due.  Yay.  Love the class, hate the papers.  The light is fading quickly from the sky, finding myself in the dark between 4:30-4:45 which is waaaaayyyyyy to damn early for a light lover.  How long is it until June?

No light?  Try shooting in the dark.  I haven't explored night shooting much, so I guess it's time to give that a try.  Note to self.....tripod lower on an angle.  Oh well.  Learn as you go.

One of the specialty shops in Kennebunkport.  Jus' sayin' people around to even give the illusion of shopping let alone getting the wallets out.

New community art gallery opened in town this summer.  Cool window ops.

Tabla Reflections
Tabla Reflections
Only reflection loving friends can appreciate this one.....tabla drums, one metal, one wood.  I'm reflected along with some hand-held rhythm instruments on the table.

Always enjoy catching my sweet dog Tula in a beach reflection.  Nice light before sunset.

I HAD to take this one.  No way to enter in without snapping first.

Have a great weekend....wishing you lots of reflection opportunities.

The dog on the beach is wonderful and moody and wow on the library door! I would have stopped and snapped before entering, too.

Love this series, 'In the wind' is great, great, great! I thought you had a typo, but as it turns out, I've never heard of a 'Tabla' before.

I always love your reflection shots - you give us so much variety. me, I can usually only come up with one per week. buy local is super artistic, love the color streaks. I bet I'd like The Hive. you captured some dark and moody skies in that one. typical for November, and I love that. Tabla drums are pretty cool too. the texture and color of the good around the silver is very nice. I see you! I wonder if I'd get out more if I had a doggie to walk? that's my favorite of the week - Tula. it's testament to your love affair with light. and last but not least, love the fire in the sky captured in the wavy glass of the library door. you're lucky you have a library worth walking into. ours here is pretty bad...I no longer bother. and it isn't budget cuts either. luckily other surrounding cities have great ones. great shots as always Susan. happy weekend to you.

Beautiful photos again, Susan, but I love the last three: art gallery, your dear dog, and the library door!

Wow, Susan, did you ever have a great week of reflection hunting... and finding! You must be getting "out and about" more than I do! LOL! I totally get "having to take" the shot... James has gotten under our skins! I'm scrolling up and down, down and up, but can't pick a favorite. Maybe the light "In the Wind"... or... "Buy Local"... or... :-)

I know the weekend has arrived when you reflections arrive in my reader. As always, a lovely collection. The library door looks like liquid fire.

The fact that darkness is coming earlier and earlier doesn't impact my photo walks too much yet. But I am still getting used to the winter coat/gloves/hat thing. When did you say June would be back?
