'Flections

Linking with my friend James for this week's Weekend Reflections.

Double Chrome BW
Double Chrome
The bumper cloned me.  That could be scary, or useful.

Ghost Chairs
Ghost Chairs
From inside an almost empty bakery looking out.  I think maybe only I would take this shot which means I'm taking this reflection thing a little too far.

Near Pam's
Near Pam's
I'm dedicating this shot to Sylvia from over the Hill.

Sylvia shares glorious sunset photos and often gets rippling water reflections.....and right near the end of that sun flare in my image there's a little duck silhouette framed in the circle of branches.  Sylvia often finds turtles and ducks to share with us.  Stop by her blog and say hi-she's the sweetest.

Rear View

Yah.  Might be a case of too much time on my hands.

Thank you to James and to my wonderful co-linkers who share my delight for chasing reflections.  Happy weekend.

hey friend. i think my fave is ghost chairs. i get it. and i really like the last shot too. you always find fine reflection shots. that chrome bumper is pretty cool too - i love that pine tree that you caught. i almost didn't submit this morning and it was a struggle to get that one foot in front of the other. my muse has retreated into its shell - but the flurries are flying so maybe the good old outdoors will lure help to lure it back out. your last SC post left me laughing, pondering, and empty-handed for the time being. i just love that. it inevitably helps something bubble to the surface! happy weekend.

Actually, I like the ghost shot the best because it's so unusual.

What a lovely thing for you to do, Susan!! I'm overwhelmed!! Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoy my photos, I certainly do enjoy yours! These today are delightful as always! I love your Rear View shot! I sometimes wonder the same thing about me -- perhaps too much time on my hands!!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend and again, thank you! You've made my day!

Susan - you continue to explore black and white to fantastic effect. And no, you most certainly would not have been the only one to take a shot of the ghost chairs - love the mysterious feeling that you captured with that one - the way they seem to float in mid-air, waiting for someone to sit. And bumper cloning - sounds quite useful, especially if they do laundry or cooking.

That first shot is just sheer perfection in black and white!

The rearview shot is my favorite -- only because I know you were breaking the law when you took it -- you aren't parked by the side of the road by any chance? ;)

I am totally in love with your first photo. Gorgeous chrome bumper, how sad we don't have them any more. I loved those big ol' cars.
I think you were brilliant to catch the ghost chair shot. You are definitely not carrying this too far. You have a gift, so use it!

The B/W treatment makes the photos very impressive!

P.S. You made me laugh with your "watch" hand comment. I was giggling quietly and my office mates think I was funny.

Thanks again for the nice comments. You made my morning.

You are good, Susan. Very good. I get what you mean about taking unusual shots, but I also think this is right up the alley of everyone participating in James' WW. The shape of the car PLUS the cloning makes your chrome selfie shot; the composition makes your chair shot. Both fabulous in monochrome. And what a very thoughtful dedication to sweet Sylvia.

This is my first visit to your blog, and a very satisfying one it is! You have done a marvelous job with reflections, using so many different approaches. I loved the ghost chairs, but I loved the others too! I don't think I could pick a favorite. I look forward to future posts! And since reflections is a particular passion of mine, I may have to participate next time!

Hey, that's MY park you've got there in "Near Pam's"! I love that shot - I especially like the low sun shining through the clock tower. I like Ghost Chairs, too. I don't know if I'd have seen and photographed that myself, but seeing your image, I'd have wished I had! (Does that make any sense?)

I like all of these but the top one knocks my socks off. You really are great at capturing reflections!

Great series. The first is the best. 55 or 56 ford -- can't decide which.
