This and That

Done Skating {2/52}
Done Skating

Sometimes I just like photos.
I take them, they may not be anything great....they may get passed over in the Flickr line up,
but I like them anyway.
Maybe they were just a split second decision,
Or perhaps they were more analytical than that.
They sit unused, unshared....nearly forgotten.
Sometimes I just like them.
For no reason really,
or for reasons deep down in my subconscious.....
Full of metaphor or frivolity.
A moment when my eye and heart said "yes, please do".

Have a great day.....appreciate your visit (even tho' I snuck in the "f" bomb....whoops).

A little something for everyone here, Susan. Love the skater shot; I've a thing for black, white and red; I think. :)

Des photos qui ne sont pas complètement anodines... Des photos qui peuvent parler à chacun de nous ... J'aime particulièrement celle de la barrière.
Elles dégagent toutes une émotion...
Gros bisous

Susan, what a beautiful way to describe photography (A moment when you eye and heart said, "Yes, please do."). Really, that is just perfect!

Love this collection of images, especially "Rusty Hook.". Such wonderful simplicity and detail.

Thank you so much for sharing with us at The Creative Exchange this week.

Have a wonderful evening!

I like Curls, and the golden grasses against blue blue sky. And I love the light on that white fence. You have a great eye for light and the intriguing detail.

I may sound boring, but I adore your take on this and that- my favorite is the fence with the play of light and shadow.

A lovely eclectic collection, Susan. I can understand why you liked and kept these photos, and I'm happy they've now found a home.

What a wonderful way to view photography...I often wondered why some things just begged for the camera, even though to someone else, they didn't look worthy of interest. Now I know...thanks! Beautiful series of photos. Sometimes the simplest things make the best shots - love the hook!

Good grief, I have so many photos that I felt were interesting, but are not ever shown to anyone. I'm glad you featured these today -- I think they are have a voice. :)

Love your collection of "This and That" - the kinds of images we all have in our archive. The ones that speak to us for no apparent reason. My favorite is Rusty Hook - well, just because.

Hi Susan, Your first shot of the skater really caught my eye and I studied it for a while. The red sweatshirt really caught my eye and the ice skates tell a story. I don't know if the person is a guy or a gal, but the black skates make me think it is a male. I also love your rusty hook - the contrast of the green and beige walls really make it stand out.
Happy Wednesday!

Just today I was noticing some of my photos that I took just because. I enjoyed your photos and writing. A "This and That" photo file?

Hi Susan,
Glad you let these out of the box. My fav is the white fence, for its light and strong abstract design - wonderful! Then comes the rusty hook and the wake up call :) I think that as artists we can make that split second decision and wrap all our knowledge up into it. The brain works in amazing ways.
Your vision is unique. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Happy weekend to you!
