Project 52

Linking with Project 52 for this week's topic....shadows.  Good one!

I'm not sure I'm very observant about shadows.  I am becoming more aware of them and hope to be better at capturing them...shadows offer lots of artistic material for expression.

I wonder what this couple was thinking early last Sunday morning when they saw me with my camera a foot from the curb.  Thankfully they didn't run over my right foot.

Happy day and shadow hunting to you.

Me and my shadow...I have to watch that I don't leave MY shadow when I am taking photos...this was a good one. Glad you didn't get run over! I was out yesterday, just walking in the middle of the street as if I had good sense! Fortunately, we were in a place with little traffic!

Have a great Sunday!

Well, it's a good thing they hadn't just robbed that Natural Food Store over there or you would have been in harms way. It takes guts to be a photographer and we don't want to see those guts anytime soon, just great shots.
What you did is called "stepping out" to get that shot. May your steps be blessed today.

Terrific shadow shot for the day, Susan! Once you start looking for and being aware of shadows -- well, they're addictive! Hope you've had a great weekend!

Oh! You've captured some great shadows in your image here! And Sylvia is right, once you start looking for the Shadows, you find them everywhere! Love your b&w processing too! :)

Plenty of shadows here, Susan. Surely even the people in the car should have seen them!
Very nicely done, with risk to life and limb, or at least one limb.

Glad you didn't get run over. The couple drove very carefully after that wondering why you took their picture.
Great shadows.

Ah, shadows! Doesn't get any better than that. I think your "shadow eye" is becoming fairly well honed. A lovely shot. And I'm glad your right foot was not run over during the pursuit of one's art.

Great shadows! Your comment reminded me of a time when I was teaching an evening class in photography and took the students out to the front of the school to use the passing traffic to practise panning shots. Imagine twelve people all aiming their cameras at your car as it comes into view and you can also imagine the mixed reactions we got - some people thought we were trying to catch them speeding and immediately braked, some were friendly and waved at us, and some threw us furious looks as they sped past.
