So simple and timeless. I love how the light and shadow bring out the texture of the old wood.

The texture of the wood catches my eye. I just want to reach out and touch it and then get in and hook up the oars and shove off.

I, too, love the simplicity of this shot along with the texture, the light and shadows! Terrific capture, Susan!

You have such an eye for the shot! Who knew an oarlock could have such character!

This is fabulous, Susan. Hard to find an old wooden rowboat any more. I love it. I remember boats like this, and oars and oarlocks (which my sister insisted upon calling "rowlocks").
Just perfect. I love the shadows.

No words needed. What caught my eye right away was how the oarlock points directly to the lovely dark, abstract reflection in the water, almost as if one is the extension of the other. And then I circle back to that deep red rope - a surprise in the corner. Great composition.

I can't imagine where you found this to photograph, but I'm so glad you did. I wonder how old it is? Love the worn wood. :)

Wonderful composition, and I love the contrast of the texture of the wood and the smoothness of the water. Terrific!

La texture du bois qui a traversé les années est sublime tout comme votre photo.
