Speaking

I often wonder what my photos are saying.
I guess I'll just let them speak for themselves.
I should do that more often.

Lovely set. I hear them.

Love the tattoo shot. There's something incredibly warm about it despite the snow. Also like the contrast and softness of beside the river, has a moody reflective quality to it.

The first and last shots say "loneliness" to me!!!
And your second shot makes me think "vintage"!!!

Snow Cap - awesome. LOVE it. Love those pink windows, too, the simplicity of that composition and that little bit of unlikely color.

I am always drawn to haunting images and that last one with the window has that quality.

First of all Happy 2014 - as I haven't been here since then!
I love your collection, Susan, and that splash of colour in the last one is adorable.
By the way, not only do I love your photos - I love your words, too :-)

Love that first image - and its similarity to a mountain range with snow-capped peaks. The black and white is the perfect treatment. Love the repetition of shapes and the way our eye is drawn into the image by following the meandering snow cap path.

You're right...sometimes words are not needed! These are amazing! My favorites are the last two!

Your photos speak volumes! The night one is really speaking to me.

I've recently discovered that several days in a row below 20F and nights below 10F isn't as fun as it once sounded. It's too cold to go to Tyler Park.:-)
